J & J BODY SHOP opened in 1970. Since then we've been providing excellent customer service and the highest quality auto body and collision repair. Over the years J & J has expanded. J&J BODY SHOP and AUTOMOTIVE offers a full variety of automotive services from our body shop, mechanical repair shop, restoration division and car sales. Our automotive repair shop and body shop are conveniently located just off RT-360 on Mechanicsville, Virginia. J & J's restoration facility and auto sales are located in King William, Virginia.
Our History
J&J BODY SHOP was founded by Johnny McGrath in 1970 and has been servicing auto body repairs and painting for almost 50 years. The Mechanicsville location opened in 1985. In response to all the request for custom paint and restoration work, J&J expanded and opened a dedicated restoration facility in 2007. Johnny's high standards, knowledge, guidance and loyal customers have helped J&J grow over the years. J&J BODY SHOP and AUTOMOTIVE has become a successful business in Hanover County and the surrounding areas. In 2017, J&J expanded again by acquiring Gowin's Auto Service and now offers auto repair and maintenance services. Gowin's Auto Service was established in 1968 brings the high level of quality automotive repair work that J&J is known for.
